A major lawn and
garden equipment manufacturer came to Lund seeking longer lasting blades for its line of premium home brush chippers. The goal was to provide better value to the consumer, but also to gain a competitive
advantage with a demonstrably superior product feature. Relying on its experience
and expertise in total cutting systems technology, Lund recommended a particular material and heat-treating combination. As a result, Lund now supplies the OEM with a superior product at a modest cost increase
over the industry common, shorter life blades.
